Faculty - Occupational Therapy Assistant, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator is employed by RCCC with the expectation that the college is the primary employer. The Faculty - Occupational Therapy Assistant, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator is a full-time faculty member who is a content specialist in a specific area of instruction and is expected to demonstrate a visibly active role in maintaining the assigned content area as well as all Fieldwork duties in a comprehensive, current, and responsible manner.
The Faculty - Occupational Therapy Assistant, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator has responsibilities delegated by the Program Chair of the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, and is responsible for the program's compliance with all fieldwork education requirements. The Faculty - Occupational Therapy Assistant, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator is expected to maintain high standards of professionalism in assuring that at least 40 hours per week is spent in the performance of these responsibilities and duties.
- Must be a licensed occupational therapist (OT/L) or occupational therapy assistant (OTA/L) by the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy.
- Must hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree from an institution that is accredited by a USDE-recognized regional or national accrediting body.
– Documented expertise in areas of teaching responsibility.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience as an OT/L or OTA/L.
- Documented teaching experience (could include post-secondary, fieldwork educator, full-time, part-time, or adjunct).
- Occupational therapist (OTR/L)
- 3+ years teaching in an OT or OTA program
- Experience as a Fieldwork Educator
- Experience with occupational therapy assistants
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with occupational therapy assistants, teaching in an OT or OTA program, or as a fieldwork educator is preferred.
