Medical Alert Care Representative SECOND SHIFT

YOU CAN! As a Medical Alert Representative, you will monitor medical alert alarms with genuine concern to include all levels of alarms and inbound phone calls. The Care Center receives alarm system calls or incoming telephone calls from Parents and Grandparents regarding emergency and non-emergency police and fire service, emergency ambulance service, information and after hours calls for departments.

As a Medical Alert Care Rep you will determine response requirements and dispatch in accordance with established procedures to entities such as clients, emergency contacts, and Police/Fire/EMS regarding alarm activities while following standard operating procedures. As a Medical Alert Care Rep you will answer customer questions using scripted and non-scripted responses, record details of calls, dispatches, and messages, troubleshoot alarm systems, and report malfunctions to ensure units receive necessary maintenance so that our clients are well taken care of. As a Medical Care Representative you will answer routine inquiries and refer calls not requiring dispatches to appropriate departments and agencies.

VRI has immediate openings for a team-oriented, highly effective and motivated Medical Alert Care Representatives. This is a FT position (32-40 hours a week). Starting pay is $10.00-$15.00; consideration is given for bilingual Spanish and other languages, College education and certain pertinent certifications. On-the-job Training and Career Path opportunities offer up to $2.00/hour increase within 6 months with successful completion of training and high performance.

You can be successful as a Medical Alert Representative if you are confident, caring and patient AND have the ability to deal with a wide variety of customers without becoming overwhelmed or frustrated. Additionally, you should also be team-oriented with a strong work ethic and a high level of personal integrity and sense of urgency to get our Parents and Grandparents the help that they need as quickly as possible. Your success depends upon your excellent communication skills (verbal and written), strong interpersonal skills, including active listening and empathy, caring nature and urgency, basic computer proficiency - keyboard, mouse, copy-and-paste, typing and navigating between multiple windows, solid organizational and multitasking skills, and by having a flexible schedule.
