Elevate Home Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Regulatory Specialist to join our team.  Primarily work from home with travel to locations as needed.



The Clinical Regulatory Specialist is highly knowledgeable in Medicare regulations, Federal and State licensure regulations for home health and hospice. The Clinical Regulatory Specialist is highly knowledgeable in the Home Health and Hospice operations and clinical processes necessary to support quality initiatives and patient care services. Role serves as a resource for enterprise in regulatory compliance.






      Assists with ensuring the enterprise is compliant with all applicable state, federal, local, Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Provides leadership and oversight to achieve a continuous state of readiness surrounding licensure, accreditation, and certification process




      Conducts routine and direct agency survey readiness audits. Supports agencies during survey process, development and implementation of Plan of Corrections, and compliance to plan




      Provides oversight and development of quality initiatives, staff education and standardized metrics. Includes OBQI and Performance Improvement program. . Investigates adverse events to identify opportunities to improve care and follows-up as requested




       Provides oversight, review and direction for regulatory audit functions: ADRs, TMR etc., including plan of corrections as needed for documentation variances, appeals and ALJ hearings




      Relates effectively with interdepartmental and intradepartmental personnel, medical staff, patients, patients' families and outside agencies, including Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party agencies




      Supports the  development of  educational programs for  clinical staff regarding the clinical and financial quality of care delivery




      Assist with risk management activities including identifying potential risk. Performs claims audits to support billing compliance




      Demonstrates leadership in promoting and maintaining standards for quality care and supervises health care practices to assure that the standards of care are maintained




      Reviews medical records, and routinely participates in clinical record reviews to supervise the quality and timeliness of care and documentation




      Other duties as assigned by the supervisor


Job Requirements

  • RN licensure in California
  • BSN required , MSN or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience in Home Health and or Hospice
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and maintain constructive working relationships with them
