Elevate Home Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Reimbursement Specialist to join our team.  Primarily work from home with travel to locations as needed.



The Clinical Reimbursement Specialist is knowledgeable in Medicare regulations and reimbursement, treatment protocols and home health standards of practice.  The Clinical Reimbursement Specialist will use this knowledge to assure that treatment plans meet the patient's needs while achieving excellent clinical and financial outcomes.  To meet these goals, the specialist will review clinical notes and care plans, process and obtain physician orders, and consult with the various clinical disciplines on the Focus Health Team.  The selected candidate will have excellent organizational and clinical skills as well as a desire to be part of a team environment in an office setting.






  •       Assists with ensuring office is compliant with all applicable state, federal, local, Medicare and Medi-cal regulations.


          Relates effectively with interdepartmental and intradepartmental personnel, medical staff, patients, patients' families and outside agencies, including Medicare, Medicaid and other third-party agencies.


          Meets with internal and external audiences to identify and problem-solve quality related issues.


          Helps to educate clinical staff regarding the clinical and financial quality of the medical care plan.


          Assist with risk management activities including identifying potential risk.


          Demonstrates leadership in promoting and maintaining standards for quality care and supervises health care practices to assure that the standards of care are maintained.


          May organize and direct patient care conferences and works effectively with physicians and other members of the home health team to promote coordination of patient services, positive patient outcomes and effective documentation of same.


          Reviews medical records routinely participates in clinical record reviews to supervise the quality and timeliness of care and documentation. Investigates adverse events to identify opportunities to improve care and follows-up as requested.


          Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.


Job Requirements

  •       Certification in OASIS C1 and ICD10.


          At least 2 years home health coding experience within the last 5 years. Home health clinical experience preferred.


          Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and maintain constructive working relationships with them.


  • Home health experience preferred.
