Responsible for maintaining the reception area; receiving visitors, taking and directing phone calls and messages and processing mail. S/he provides secretarial support to the Hospice House Manager. S/he is responsible for the overall clerical support and secretarial functions of the hospice house.

Part time, every other weekend 7a-3:30p and one shift during weekday each week.
Duties:Answer, screen, and log (if necessary) incoming calls for house and direct call appropriately.
Process mail.
Control office and employee supply orders and track expenses.
Respond as a professional first-line resource for answering client's and visitors' inquiries and concerns.
Enlist volunteer support and oversee receptionist and clerical volunteers.
Provide additional secretarial support to Hospice House Manager.
Maintain bed board.
Assist as needed with computer, phone and voicemail issues.
Update daily census and prepare weekly IDG paperwork.
Ensure accuracy of code status in Solutions and on the bed board daily.
Receive, direct and monitor visitors in the lobby.
All other duties as outlined in job description.
Qualifications:Excellent typing, organization, time management and communication skills required.
High school diploma, AD preferred
Minimum of one year secretarial experience
Computer literate with familiarity of Word processing and spreadsheet applications required.
Customer relations' experience preferred.
Valid drivers' license and auto insurance
Medical terminology preferred
Able to remain calm and trouble shoot/handle patient/family crisis situations.
Able to shift priorities as needed.
Able to manage the emotional stress of working with and caring for terminally ill patients and their families.
Ability to perform the essential functions and physical requirements (including, but not limited to; lifiting patients and/or equipment, bending, pushing/pulling, kneeling) of the job with or without resonable accommodation.
