The Arc of Anchorage is currently seeking individuals to work part-time in our donation and pick up service program. The Solicitor contacts individuals via an auto dialer telephone or mail to solicit donations of used clothing and household goods. Qualified applicants must have good communication skills, good telephone etiquette, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and want to make a difference in someone’s life.

 

 

Must be at least 18 years of age, High School diploma/GED or equivalent is required. The qualified candidate must have a knowledge of correct English usage (particularly in oral usage), the ability to communicate effectively and in a pleasant way with staff and the public, proficiency with computerized auto-dialer system and the ability to operate a computer. Must be familiar with or have a willingness to learn basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & Access. Also must have accurate keyboarding at a speed of at least 20 words per minute. An Arc application must be submitted to be considered for any position.
