|Responsibilities:||Homemaker non-exempt, service position responsible for providing homemaking services to clients in their homes. Accomplishes job duties in a timely, safe, and professional manner. Locations: NW Metro Denver, Englewood, Littleton, Aurora, South Denver and Central Denver Procedures which may be required of the homemaker include (but are not limited to) any combination of the following: performing housekeeping tasks as directed; making beds, changing and laundering linens; washing dishes; preparing meals; grocery shopping; cleaning stove; defrosting refrigerator; accompanying patient to physician or clinic via taxi or client's car; vacuuming and dusting; cleaning bathrooms. All procedures are carried out in accordance with universal precautions. Assures client's satisfaction with care received, by meeting client needs within reason and consistent with the goals of the program, and by advising supervisor of requests which cannot be met or of conditions which are unsafe.|
|Minimum Qualifications:||Graduation from high school or equivalent preferred, but not required. Previous homemaking or personal care experience is preferred. Frequent exertion of 25 pounds of force, and occasional exertion of 50 pounds of force.|
Established in 1889 and incorporated in 1904, the Visiting Nurse Association provides home care, hospice at home and wellness services across a 14-county area from Boulder south to Pueblo, Colorado. Medical and non-medical home care services are available on an intermittent basis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Corporate and community wellness screenings and immunizations, including foot care services for seniors and flu shots, are available by appointment on an individual or group clinic basis.
