Work Schedule: M-F; Days, Per Visit; Evening & Weekends both Sat & Sun.
Responsibilities:Certified Nursing Assistant is a non-exempt, service position responsible for providing supportive care and skilled personal care to patients in their homes. Assists in activities of daily living and other skilled personal care needs as directed by the plan of treatment. Provides consistently high quality of care in accordance with the plan of care and Agency policies. Maintains and enhances skills needed to provide quality care; attends classes within the Agency or externally as needed to update skills; completes a minimum of twelve in-service training hours annually. Communicates with primary caregiver verbally and in writing as needed regarding plan of care. Meets clients needs within reason, represents the Agency positively by being a cooperative and willing caregiver. Acts as a dependable caregiver to client and Agency, by meeting productivity expectations, completing and submitting required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, and regularly communicating with the Agency scheduler regarding their caseload. Uses telephonic reporting system. Procedures which may be required of the CNA include but are not limited to the following: food preparation, feeding of client; assistance with bedpans, assistance to and from bathroom, assistance with bowel/bladder program; bathing, whether bed, sponge, tub, or shower; hair care, dressing, shaving with electric or safety razor, skin care including back rub, fingernail care, oral hygiene; ambulation with cane, crutches, walker or wheelchair; transfer with Hoyer lift; catheter care; digital stimulation; colostomy care; enemas; dressing changes; range of motion and therapy reinforcement; child care; take, maintain, and record vital signs, intake and output, and weight; collection of specimens; and recognition of emergencies and appropriate action steps. Minimum Qualifications:Completion of an approved educational program for Nurses Aides in the state of Colorado. Active Colorado CNA license and current CPR certification required. Previous CNA or student experience within the last year. Nurse Assistant/Nurse Aide experience in a nursing home, hospital, or other health facility will be considered. Continual exertion of up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push or pull an object. Frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force to lift, carry, push or pull an object. Occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force or greater, to lift, carry, push or pull an object.
